IPL laser
IPL is a light treatment used to treat wrinkles, blemishes and excess hair.
You can use IPL to minimize or eliminate the following:
Skin blemishes
Sun burn
Freckles
Congenital moles
Varicose veins
Broken blood vessels on your face
Acne
Hair on face, neck, back, chest, legs, armpits or bikini line
IPL is similar to laser therapy. However, the laser only focuses one wavelength of light on your skin, while the IPL releases light at different wavelengths such as a photo flash.
IPL light is more diffused and less focused than lasers. IPL penetrates to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without damaging the top layer (epidermis), so it does less damage to your skin.
Pigment cells in your skin absorb light energy which is converted into heat. The heat removes unwanted pigments to remove freckles and other spots. Or, it destroys the hair follicle to prevent hair regrowth.
You can use IPL anywhere on your body, but it may not work well in rough areas. Not recommended for people who are prone to thick and prominent colloidal scars or have darker skin color.
