Neck lift
Neck lift is a cosmetic procedure that removes excess skin, excess fat and wrinkles around your neck and creates a smooth and even neck.
Neck lift is performed to reduce the signs of aging on the lower face and often as part of a face lift.
Before the operation
Before having a neck lift, your doctor will consult with you to assess your health and talk about your surgical goals and expectations. Then your doctor will talk to you about which method is best for you, and he or she may have other methods. - such as eyebrow lifts, eyelid surgery or skin peels - that may help you achieve the results you want.
Your face will be examined and measured and photos may be taken so you can compare your appearance before and after the operation.
During the operation
Neck lift can be done with sedation and local anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the back of each ear and under the chin and uses specialized equipment to remove excess fat from the jaw line and under the chin.
after surgery
After a neck lift, you will probably experience swelling and bruising.
You may need to wear special clothing that does not put pressure on your neck and helps reduce swelling. You should also keep your head above your heart and straight. Do not twist or bend your neck.
Results
It may take a few weeks to a few months for the swelling and bruising to go away completely, and it may take up to six months for your cut lines to disappear.
