Microoneedling

Microneedling
Microneedling is a procedure in which a doctor uses small sterile needles to make small wounds on the skin. These small sores make your body make more collagen and elastin and heal your skin so your skin looks younger.

Benefits of microneedling

Microneedling is used to treat the following:

Acne

hair loss

Or dark spots on your skin

Large pores of the skin

Sagging and loose skin

scar

Mild sunburn

Delicate lines and wrinkles

The cost of microneedling is better than other methods. Microneedling may work better for people with darker skin tones.

What happens when you do microneedling?

This procedure usually takes 10 to 20 minutes (depending on the size of the area). Most people need 4-6 sessions of treatment to see the difference.

First, apply an anesthetic cream to your face so that you do not feel the needles. The person doing the microneedling then moves a tool in the form of a pen or spinner with tiny needles around your face. The needles make small incisions in your skin that cause a small amount of bleeding. Your doctor may then apply a cream or serum to your face.

The purpose of this method is to start the healing process of your body by sending collagen and elastin to repair minor injuries. Collagen helps to fill in and smooth out wrinkles.

Most people do microneedling on the face, but it can also be done on other parts of the body such as the abdomen or thighs.
